Mr. Jorge Padilla

Jorge Padilla is a workout credit leader at GE Capital in Mexico City, where he is responsible for the company's Latin America distressed and nonperforming loan portfolio. He formulates and executes risk-appropriate creative restructurings and recovery strategies for investments exhibiting early stage or sustained weakness, thereby mitigating portfolio losses and preserving customer value. He is also experienced in due diligence, legal and financial assessment, capital structure analysis to maximize re- covery, cash flow, collateral analysis and reorganization plan assessments. Mr. Padilla has more than 17 years of experience in corporate finance, risk, portfolio management, M&A, turnarounds, financing and liability management, operational and financial restructuring, risk management and financial analysis. Prior to joining GE Capital, he was a senior director with Alvarez & Marsal, where he advised numerous clients on turnarounds and restructuring processes. He also served as a finance officer for Corporacion Interamericana de Entretenimiento (Cie) and Grupo Kuo. Mr. Padilla holds a B.A. in economics from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de MÂ?xico and an M.B.A. from IPADE Business School.
