Mr. James S. LaMontagne

James S. LaMontagne is a shareholder at Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green in Manchester, N.H., and head of the firm's Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group. He practices in the areas of bankruptcy, debtor- creditor relations, workouts and reorganizations, and business litigation. Mr. LaMontagne represents se- cured lenders, creditor committees, trustees, unsecured creditors, and small and large business debtors in their liquidation or reorganization efforts. He also represents parties involved in bankruptcy preference actions, dischargeability complaints and defendants in violation of stay cases. Outside of the bankruptcy court, he has represented both creditors and debtors in foreclosure proceedings, secured party sales, workouts and collection actions. Mr. LaMontagne received his B.A from St. Anselm College and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
