Ms. Abbe M. Stensland

Abbe M. Stensland is a member of Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where her practice focusses on bankruptcy law and commercial litigation and appeals. In the bankruptcy arena, she counsels and represents case trustees, lenders and lessors. Ms. Stensland has presented on bankruptcy topics at seminars hosted by the Iowa Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and in conjunction with the University of Iowa College of Law. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association's Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section Council and an ABI member. In 2012, Ms. Stensland co-authored the second edition of Bankruptcy in Iowa, published by Iowa Law School, and in 2015, she was recognized as a "Great Plains Rising Star" in the area of bankruptcy law by Thomson Reuters on its 2015 Great Plains Super Lawyers list. She is licensed to practice in Iowa and is admitted to practice in the federal district courts and bankruptcy courts in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Stensland received her undergraduate degree in biology/chemisty from Central College and her J.D. in 2006 from the Univer- sity of Iowa College of Law.
