Hon. Lee M. Jackwig

Lee M. Jackwig is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Iowa in Des Moines. Prior to her appointment in 1986, she was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Iowa, an Iowa Deputy Industrial Commissioner and an Assistant Attorney General of Iowa. Judge Jackwig is a former member of ABI's Board of Directors, a former member of the National Conference of Bank- ruptcy Judges' Board of Governors and a former chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Federal Bar Association. She served on the Committee on Automation and Technology of the Judicial Conference of the U.S. from 1990-97. Judge Jackwig received her B.A. magna cum laude in the classics from Loyola University and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
