
Mr. Roger A. Clement
Roger A. Clement, Jr. is a partner in the law firm of Verrill Dana LLP in Portland, Maine, where he chairs the firm's Advocacy Division and its Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights Group. Mr. Clement's practice primarily represents debtors and creditors in business bankruptcies, commercial litigation, com- mercial restructurings and other matters relating to financial distress and insolvency. Mr. Clement has represented chapter 11 debtors-in-possession, chapter 11 trustees, creditors' committees, secured credi- tors and landlords in local, regional and national chapter 11 cases. He has represented banks, technol- ogy companies, venture capitalists, health care institutions, railroads, timber companies, manufacturers, retailers, acquirers of assets and insurance companies in bankruptcy cases and other matters involving financial distress. Mr. Clement is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, in The Best Lawyers in America as the 2012 Portland, Maine Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law Lawyer of the Year, and in New England Super Lawyers under Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights.
