Hon. Margaret A. Mahoney

Margaret A. Mahoney is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Alabama in Mo- bile, appointed in December 1993. She has also been a bankruptcy judge in the District of Minnesota and the Southern District of Texas. From 1989-93, Judge Mahoney was a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges's Houston and Dallas offices. She is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, was editor-in-chief of the American Bankruptcy Law Journal and is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs. Judge Mahoney graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn., Phi Beta Kappa and received her J.D. with honors from the University of Minnesota Law School.
