Ms. Kelley M. Petry

Kelley M. Petry is the owner, president, managing and litigation attorney for Kelley M. Petry, P.A. in Tampa, Fla., founded in 2004. She has been practicing consumer bankruptcy since 2000. Ms. Petry has represented thousands of debtors in chapter 7 and 13 cases. She has served on the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association?s board of directors since 2003, serving as president for the 2016-17 year. She also served on the District-Wide Steering Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida during 2012-14, and currently chairs the committee. Ms. Petry is president of the Bankruptcy Law Education Series and is a member of the Florida Bar?s Business Law Section, the Hillsborough\nCounty Bar Association and the International Women?s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. She has helped Stetson University College of Law?s Bankrupty Moot Court team prepare for competition by judging practice rounds, and she has been a guest instructor at Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Stetson University College of law. A frequent speaker, Ms. Petry received her her undergraduate degree in political science from Mississippi State University in 1995 and her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in 1998.
