When should I file a claim? Is there a downside to filing a claim? What should I attach to a proof of claim? What if I miss the bar date? Is my lien perfected? How can I retain my lien? This panel will focus on objections raised by counsel, and rulings by a presiding bankruptcy judge, during live mock direct and cross-examination of witnesses in a Chapter 11 confirmation hearing. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to properly make/respond to, and the merits of, certain objections to testimony in the context of a Chapter 11 confirmation hearing.

The panelists also will explore the practical impact of crypto issues on everyday bankruptcy practice, including determining the ownership of assets, funding the administrative expenses during the case, devising a plan of reorganization that offers the issuance of new stock and a new token as part of the plan treatment, the problem with liquidation of crypto assets, and the positions that governmental agencies are taking in certain cases.
